Hilton Durham near Duke University

The staff are the crown jewel here. They treated every guest like royalty, and the stay was top notch in every way. I was in town for surgery at Duke eye center and highly recommend this hotel if you need a place in the area. If I need to stay in Durham again, I won’t even look elsewhere, I’ll book this Hilton. Thanks to everyone on staff for a fantastic stay.

The front desk service was amazing, and the bar and restaurant staff were great too. Our room was fine for our one-night stay after the Duke game, though it could have been better. There was hair on the shower wall and on the conditioner bottle. I think the front desk would have taken care of it right away if I’d told them, but we were only there for one night. The fridge didn't cool very well either, though I'm not sure if that was normal or if it wasn't working properly.

We held our Alumni Reunion in one of the ballrooms, and the whole event went wonderfully. From the moment we arrived on site, we were welcomed with excellent service. The food, communication, and service were all beyond amazing, and our alumni had a blast. It’s a beautiful hotel with amazing service.

The front desk clerks had an attitude, and the whole stay was a huge disappointment. They charge for parking and breakfast, and there’s no complimentary coffee. The in-room machine was really lame, with not enough creamers to cover the awful coffee taste. The little Starbucks stand wasn't working, but they were still charging regular Starbucks prices for drip coffee. We were told this is a full-service hotel, apparently meaning they charge for everything. Don’t stay here.
