SpringHill Suites by Marriott Raleigh-Durham Airport/Research Triangle Park

I’d already accepted that my unexpected flight cancellation meant I might lose the payment and Bonvoy points for my SpringHill Suites reservation. The booking terms required cancellation within 24 hours of booking for a refund, and the gentleman who answered my call explained that politely. He was new, checked with a supervisor about the points, and came back to say I wouldn’t receive any. I called to cancel and ask about a refund, then requested the supervisor to clarify the points. She sounded impatient and dismissive, cut me off, said they were a franchise and Bonvoy issues had to go through Marriott Bonvoy, but couldn’t give me their number. When I asked for her name and her supervisor’s name because of the poor service, she got snippy and abruptly hung up. I understand I may not get a refund or points, but I was asking for clarification and basic courtesy. We were flying in for a wedding, and other family were in town. I tried changing the reservation name in the app so someone else could use the room, but it seemed to have been canceled already. I was frustrated and took it as a learning moment for myself. I hope the staff can learn from it too, since patience and kindness matter when someone’s already dealing with travel stress. I called back later, and another gentleman explained how to contact Bonvoy. I appreciated that, since all I wanted was for someone to take the time to help me understand, so I’ll plan to call Bonvoy.

The room was tidy, clean, and comfortable, with no complaints from me. Two front desk staff members stood out during my stay at SpringHill Suites by Marriott Raleigh-Durham Airport/Research Triangle Park. I’ve forgotten their names, but both were very professional and friendly, and greeted me with a smile whenever I passed. They also suggested some good nearby restaurants, which I appreciated. I’d definitely stay here again.

Our quick trip went smoothly, and this hotel met our needs perfectly. It’s conveniently located for the airport and NCCU, with a great shuttle to local areas. The property has been recently renovated, and the staff were attentive.

The staff were friendly throughout, and our room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was alright, though I wish they had some non-pork choices. Still, it was a great experience.
