There’s plenty of parking right beside the cabin, and you can rent a boat or kayak, pick up affordable tackle, or arrange a guide. We had outstanding views and wonderful weather, with easy access around the area. The cabin was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and courteous. We stayed three nights and I’ll definitely come back. I’d highly recommend it for a week away.

The views were incredible, and everyone we dealt with was so friendly. My son, brother, nephew, and I came to town for turkey hunting and stayed here. We were beyond impressed and had an awesome experience. I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed it. - Paul Shaffer

Alisha and AJ made the weekend feel special, taking great care of us from the cabin to arranging a chartered fishing boat. The weather forced the fishing trip to be cancelled, but they kept us updated at every step. I was back in the area for a birthday weekend and to remember childhood family vacations. It was a joy to stay in such a special place.

The area is beautiful, but the mattress had a big dip in the middle and was really uncomfortable, almost like sleeping face to face. I was also disappointed by the final cost. When I called, I was quoted $125 a night, but my card was charged $345 for two nights. I followed the instructions for taking out the trash and leaving the towels, yet when I asked about the bill, I learned there was an automatic $75 cabin cleaning charge that hadn’t been mentioned before my stay. The cabin was about 200 square feet, if that. With the other $95 in fees and taxes, I would have stayed elsewhere if I’d known it came to $172 a night for a rustic cabin with that mattress. It would have been easier if they’d just told me the full price upfront. I travel through here often, but I’ll stay somewhere else next time.

I was skeptical when I heard a tackle shop rented ski bikes, but I called and they did have them. It’s the only place I found to rent one around Angel fire. I had no experience, but after about two runs I got the hang of it. Really fun, and yes, angle fire allows them. I rented it for two days.
