Best Western Plus Eagle/Vail Valley

We found a room that fit all six of us, and there was plenty of space for the family. The towels and sheets were old and really should be replaced, though. Breakfast was included, which was the best part of it. A good stay overall, and I'd recommend it.

Being able to check in super early made a big difference and got our stay off to a great start. The staff were warm, helpful, and friendly the whole time, and the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We enjoyed the hot breakfast, too. Grocery stores, gas stations, and plenty of restaurants are all within walking distance. We'd happily come back.

We came to Eagle for my son's wedding and booked four nights, from Wednesday 10/1 through Sunday morning 10/5. By the time we left, our belongings had been taken from the room and stored at the front desk, and we were loading our suitcases in a packed lobby. Expedia did at least get us a refund. On Saturday, I turned off my phone during the ceremony. Afterwards, I found two messages asking when I was checking out and a third telling me to collect my things. The hotel insisted our booking had ended, even after I called. We drove back and showed them the email confirming we were booked through Sunday. They checked again, saw I was right, and didn't apologize. We still had to leave. The housekeeping problems started earlier. Our first room on the second floor had a wet patch about two feet across under the covers at the foot of the bed. After I told the front desk, they apologized and gave us another room, so we packed up and moved. That room wasn't cleaned Thursday. We thought maybe it was because we hadn't put out the “please clean” sign, so we put it out Friday. Still no cleaning. The manager said they don't pay attention to those signs and we had to request service a day ahead. Staff had already left, and he said they didn't work weekends, so there would be no service for our whole four day stay. Both rooms had moldy showers. The sink drains were very slow, and the towels were grayish instead of white. This isn't the worst hotel I've stayed in, but it might be second. It always seems full, the brand name seemed trustworthy, and Eagle has limited options. I hope people reading reviews think twice before booking.

The dining area feels much warmer and more inviting now, and all the amenities were working when I visited. You can see the improvements with the new management. Leo, Karla, and Jay at the front desk deserve a shoutout. They're always friendly and happy to help. I'd highly recommend staying here in the Eagle/Avon/Vail area.
