Homewood Suites by Hilton Eagle Boise

The pool was clean and heated, and the gym was clean and well equipped. Breakfast had a decent range of choices, and the staff were courteous. The hotel feels secure and is in a safe area. It opened in 2020, and I’ve stayed on both the first and third floors. Rooms on the Highway 44 side are noisier, so I’d try for one facing the park. Parking can be a problem for oversized vehicles, especially since the lot is shared with a restaurant that gets busy.

The women on staff were sweet and helpful, and the kitchen and breakfast crew were great. The hotel itself is beautiful, but our stay had a lot of frustrating snags. The drawers wouldn’t stay closed, Direct TV was unreliable with most channels not working, and the TVs had no streaming despite what the QR code and website promised. Our keys failed on three of the five days. When we asked for change for the washer and dryer at 6 p.m. on 12/13, the older man at the desk was rude and unwelcoming, asking, “What do you want me to do about it?” He was also curt and hard to approach when I needed a replacement key. We’d come all the way from Texas.

The breakfast was good, with the usual eggs, bacon, pancakes, yoghurt, fruit, and juices. The indoor pool was nice too, though the water was neither warm nor cold. The gym is especially spacious and clean. The location worked perfectly for us. There are lots of restaurants nearby, and the park across the way is a great place for a walk when the weather cooperates.

Breakfast alone would bring us back to this Homewood Suites if we’re in the Boise/Eagle area again. It was probably the best hotel breakfast we’ve had, with an astonishing range of options, from fresh fruit and pastries to hot dishes and plenty of oatmeal toppings. There was far too much to list, and something for every craving. After a week traveling across the country and staying only at Hilton properties, this was a fantastic place to end the trip. Our roomy studio suite gave us space to relax and unpack, and the king bed was very comfortable after long days on the road. The full-size refrigerator was especially useful for keeping our medications properly chilled. The stay exceeded our expectations and was comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommended.
