The staff made the stay especially pleasant. They were professional, friendly, and ready to help, and the inn was very clean. Breakfast had a good range of fresh, tasty choices. I felt comfortable the whole time and came away with a wonderful impression. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing stay.

Mark’s treated me respectfully from my first day here, throughout my stay. I’m a truck driver and my truck has been broken down for nearly two weeks, so I’ve really appreciated that. The rooms are great, and I’ll definitely stay here again when I pass through.

The sink was slow all week, then on the last night dirty water started bubbling up and leaking underneath it. We had to use the shower to get ready for bed and leave the next morning. Maintenance wasn’t there when we called, which I understand, but the employee said there was nothing they could do and no rooms free. We checked online and saw several rooms available to book. The room was in rough shape. The beds looked barely made when we arrived, and one set of sheets smelled so bad that we asked for replacements. The desk resisted and eventually handed over a topper blanket instead, which was uncomfortable. The mattresses were stained, and my socks turned black from the carpet. The whole place smelled of mildew under cheap air freshener. Sticky, bad-smelling surfaces were everywhere, from the room to the lobby, elevator, and breakfast area. Staff seemed unhappy and unwilling to help with small requests. A cleaner did smile at me, which was the one bright spot. Someone tried to clean my room around 9:30 even though checkout was 11, then maintenance arrived around 10:30 and left me feeling rushed. Thin walls, terrible coffee, and that smell made for a miserable stay.

My employer has prepaid rooms for me many times around the US, but this check-in was a mess. Mr Mark Henry asked for proof of payment sent directly by my company, even after I showed him the email. My company travel representative called, but he kept giving me a hard time instead of making me feel welcome. At first he said there were no clean rooms and carried on with whatever he was doing. Eventually he handed me keys, pointed out the elevator, and ignored me without apologizing for making a Choice hotels guest uncomfortable. My employer uses Choice hotels for lots of employees, but I’ll push for us to go elsewhere. I don’t recommend staying here, and I’ll make sure my employer NEVER books this property again.
