Americas Best Value Inn

I slept like a rock. The room was clean and quiet, had decent AC, and there were no bugs. It looked like the website pictures, and the managers were smiling and really friendly. The location felt very safe, with nice grocery stores within walking distance. I only stayed one night. A few spots could use paint.

The only decent thing was probably the cable. The floors were stained and damp, and so dirty that the bottoms of my feet turned black. The windows were open, and there was a gap under the door letting in moisture. The bathroom was extremely small, with a toilet lid smaller than the bowl. Shower water came out brown, and the pressure was awful. The curtains had holes and were held up with duct tape. I chose a cheaper smoking room even though I don't smoke, and there were ashes all over the carpet. The sheets were dirty, stained, and full of burn holes. I was supposed to get a queen bed but got a full, with only two lousy pillows. One bedside lamp had a broken shade and no switch, so I had to unplug it to turn it off and plug it back in when I needed it. The nightstand had a broken handle, the towels were dirty and brown, and the mirror was crooked. I also got bed bugs here. It was so disgusting I'd rather have slept in my car for two nights. Not worth the money.

The desk clerk was rude when we checked in and gave us attitude for no reason. I wouldn't return just because of him. As for the room, it did the job as a place to sleep, but don't expect a nice hotel. The towels were stained, and two beds barely fit, which made it difficult with four people. We had expected that part, though.

The owner is amazing to work with, and the rooms are clean. Second floor rooms have cathedral ceilings, plus a microwave, fridge, TV, and computer desk. The beds are a little comfortable, which is the only negative I've found, but at this price I can't complain. 9/10, I'd stay again.
