Best Western Delta Inn

It’s not easy to find an uber in effingham, so the owner went out of their way and drove me across town. The manager/owner and operator helped when I needed it most. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room and breakfast sausages were great.

Customer service was great, and the pool looked very clean and was great. The room wasn’t the best, but it was clean. The AC unit was really loud whenever it kicked on, and other guests were inconsiderately noisy from 10pm to midnight. The hotel’s cribs look outdated and don’t seem to meet current regulations, so bring your own pack n play or portable crib.

Breakfast wasn’t very good, and I hope management passed along our experience to the staff and got it sorted out. Our room was spacious but could use a little TLC. We only stayed one night, so we managed. Being close to the interstate is convenient, but it’s noisy too.

We booked through Expedia for a trip, then had to cancel because of a family issue. We called 3 days before the reservation. The owner refused to refund the room fees. I know it was my fault for not paying extra for insurance, but we’ve taken many trips and had to cancel now and then, and every other hotel has refunded us without hesitation. We’ve booked through Expedia many times, and this is the only hotel that hasn’t refunded us after unforeseen circumstances. Be aware and get the insurance if something might come up. It infuriates me that a company can keep your money without providing any service, then charge another person for the same room. In response to management, we did call 3 days ahead.
