Sonesta Essential Atlantic City West

The ribs were so tender they fell off the bone, and the ribeye was grilled beautifully and full of flavor. The ribs egg roll was amazing, too. The fries were the best, fresh and crisp, and the green beans had just the right sea salt seasoning. People consistently praise the sides and service, and the staff, Tracy, and the owner were all very friendly. An excellent kosher restaurant in Atlantic City.

At checkout, the manager asked how our stay had gone and whether anything could have made it better. We told him it was very good, and I appreciated that he asked. The staff were pleasant and the service impressed me. The hotel was clean and recently remodeled, and our room had a comfortable king-sized bed. I’m fussy about bedding and pillows, but slept really well.

Giovanni, the manager, was so welcoming and wonderful throughout our stay. Everything was neat and clean, and we had an amazing time. Thank you for having us. We’ll definitely be back! 💜

Breakfast was a letdown: lukewarm coffee that poured out like tar from a stainless carafe, plain bagels, wrapped muffins, butter, jam, cream cheese, little plastic cups of OJ, and a few yogurts. There were no coffee makers in the room, and for the price, it wasn’t worth it. Our room itself was okay and quiet, with a comfortable bed, though the pillows were flat. There was a large stain on the carpet and curtains, toiletries were limited, and our shower didn’t drain well. Check-in took far too long. Two people were checking guests in, but everyone’s paperwork and keys were laid out on the desk and they kept searching for the right ones. The manager checked me in, then had to reprint my paperwork when he couldn’t find it. At checkout, he said he’d email a receipt and release the $100 deposit. Five hours later, neither had happened.
