Northgate Motel

After a long day of sightseeing, relaxing in the sauna and having a massage was wonderful. The spa and wellness center had modern, spotless facilities, and the spa staff were professional and courteous. I'd highly recommend it if you're looking to unwind.

The location was great, close to stores in case we forgot anything, and it stayed very quiet at night. We managed several comfortable days here, and for the price it was clean and functional. The room had a working TV, a large mini fridge, and a microwave, but no coffee machine. One bathroom light switch didn't work, although the main light did. A nice budget hotel, and I'd stay again.

My family and I were treated badly here. A maid came into our room very early in the morning without permission, asking us to clean it, and she was rude and racist. We weren't allowed to have guests over, and staff would harass them until they left. Then they claimed there had been complaints and put us on a no-rent-to-them list. I pay like everyone else, whatever their race. It's 2024, and this racism is ridiculous. I hope nobody else has to go through what we did.

The staff are great folks, but one maid who is part owner is rude, unprofessional, and a liar. She knocks once and barges in right away, whether you're asleep, naked, or anything else. She doesn't apologize or admit she did anything wrong. If you refuse service a couple of times, she wants you to clean your own room, even when it's clean. Toiletries have to come from the Super 8 next door, and the breakfast is pitiful. Argue with her for a few minutes and she wants customers gone, yelling as if we're in the slums and have no choice but to do what she says. Look elsewhere. It's not worth saving a dollar or two. Worst place I've ever been.
