The rooms have a smell I can't even identify, and the tub has mold around the edges, so I'd avoid showering if you can. Our microwave was falling apart inside, too. It's not the worst hotel I've stayed in, but the owner seems cheap. I think housekeeping tries, though there's only so much they can do with owners cutting corners.

The front desk lady was wonderful and helped me each time something went wrong. Still, this was the worst hotel stay of my life. I changed rooms twice, found torn bedding with blood stains and stained furniture, and had to cover the couch with a towel before sitting down. The phone didn't work either. I really don't recommend it. I couldn't figure out why mine was the only car in the parking lot.

The room had a mildew smell as soon as I walked in, and the tub had mildew and rust all over it. There was no cover on the bathroom fan. Coffee was dripped on top of the microwave, and there was a hair on the coffee bag, neither of which could have been from us since we'd just arrived. I would NOT recommend this hotel unless it's your last option.

The price was great, and they even had free breakfast. I only wanted somewhere quiet to sleep, but they went well beyond what I expected. Every time I've stayed, I've felt welcome, almost like I was at home.

The staff were nice, and everything was clean. I stopped here for one night on the way to Corpus Christi. I've stayed in worse places, though I've definitely had better. The room needed updating, and I wish I'd gotten one that had been redone. From what I hear, they're remodeling now.
