Boxstel - Moderns Stay Hotel

Definitely worth the price, and the rooms are unique. The only downside was that the AC wasn’t very adjustable in hot weather. Amin was super friendly and helpful, five stars for him!

The staff member who looked after us was exceptionally professional and incredibly kind. You could tell he takes real pride in the facility, and he deserves a raise. He made an already great stay even better. At Boxstel in El Paso, Texas, the rooms were clean, the beds super comfortable, and the area was great. Everything exceeded expectations. We’ll definitely return!

I travel a lot for work, and weeks can run together, so I’m late writing this. What sticks with me is how much I miss Boxstel. No other major chain hotel has matched that stay. PAOLA made me feel like family within minutes. She listened to my requests, gave clear instructions for what I needed, and was genuinely kind and funny. Her manner was bubbly but calm, and I felt safe and excited to spend time in the common areas. I don’t often get that kind of welcome at a desk while traveling. I was nervous about the shared kitchen, but all the rooms are private and lockable, and the fridge had clear labels for shared and non-shared food. There was also a coffee station, real dishes, and cookware. It was nice to take a real mug back to my room in the morning. My room had a steampunk-meets-modern style, with a brick wall and a big, gorgeous plant, maybe a Monstera. My only complaint is the sheets. I ended up on the mattress cover in the middle of the night when they came loose, and the texture wasn’t great. That’s my only negative. Thanks to Boxstel for a really positive stay.

The shower barely had any pressure, there was nowhere to put soap or shampoo except the floor, and the water didn’t drain properly. Guests are told to keep quiet, but the lobby TV was loud all night. There are signs everywhere with rules for the kitchen, fridge, and bedroom. The place seems to have cut corners in its construction. I could go on, but what’s the point? DO NOT RECOMMEND.
