La Quinta Inn by Wyndham El Paso East Lomaland

We had seven of us, with kids and plenty of luggage, and arrived so late and exhausted that moving hotels wasn't realistic. The pool water was brown and filthy, so swimming was out, and none of the three rooms had hot water. There were no phones in the rooms, which made reaching the front desk difficult. Housekeeping was only available on request for stays longer than one night. It was a miserable stay, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

The staff were kind and professional, but I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it before the place gets a proper cleaning. Breakfast was supposed to be included, but the next morning staff had nothing to serve. The pool looked swampy green, with caution tape blowing around and a pair of rotting pants in a bush. It was winter, so I didn't mind that it was closed, but it still looked awful. When I pulled back the covers on the freshly made bed, there was hair all over the sheets, as if housekeeping had just made the bed and hoped nobody would notice. They said no housekeeper was on duty, so instead they moved me to another room. The floor there hadn't been swept, though at least the bed was clean. I used a whole bottle of bleach wipes just to feel better staying there. The place needs a thorough scrubbing.

The grounds were littered, and the walls and baseboards were filthy. There were cigarette burns in the tub, and when we asked for another blanket, they had none. The little patch where dogs are supposed to go was full of cat poop and smelled like a litter box. We paid for food but decided not to eat there because the place was so disgusting.

I paid $535.00 for two nights and ended up crying because I had nowhere else to go. Hotels were full for the BTS concert, and the light outside my room didn't work, so I didn't feel safe opening the door or leaving my luggage there. I came for the concert, but the stay was awful, and I'm asking for a refund. At first the desk clerk said Expedia had canceled my reservation and told me to call them. While I was trying to reach Expedia, the clerk said the hotel's manager had canceled it because several rooms had problems, but no one had told me. They eventually found me a room. It was disgusting: the old, stained pillows had no cases, one bed had hair on dirty sheets, the counters were dirty, and pink and gray-black mold covered the bathroom door frame.
