Vagabond Inn El Paso

My husband was in a nearby hospital, so I stayed here for about three weeks. It was noisy, and when I asked the front desk about charges, they couldn’t explain them. I got three different charges and was told one could be applied to a night, but no one seemed to know what was going on. After checkout I asked them to remove my credit and debit cards from the account. I was assured it had been done, but then I saw a $117 charge. When I called, I was told I’d have to wait a week for the manager to return before I could get a refund. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

For $40 a night, it did the job as a temporary place to get away from the ghosts in my home. The rooms and cells are clean and Marge. The vending machines are inconveniently spread out, and a lot of them seem not to work, so you may have to walk from one end to the other. It’s near a highway with ramps on several sides, which I hear suits clandestine meetups and shady business at 2 a.m. I’m here all day at the vagabond, and I’m not happy about it. This is a holy place with the holiest of the Holy play in the most Unholy of all on holy s---. Stay as pure as driven snow on another planet where we don’t even know what snow is made of. I have no reason to lie about poison snow on other planets, and if you think I do, you’re insane. Thank you.

I watched a man struggle to get a credit for a night he’d paid for. He hadn’t asked for a receipt, and the manager basically called him a liar. He was in tears before he got the credit, then called corporate and kept pushing for what he believed was rightfully his. The manager showed no compassion or empathy. The place is run down, and it advertises free Wi-Fi but there was none at all. It seems headed for demolition for reasons beyond the building’s condition. I hope the man, his wife, and their child are doing well. As for the woman, I hope karma treats her badly.

Everything was dirty. I only stayed because I needed somewhere right away.
