We ended up having a really pleasant stay after splitting the cost with friends. The place is only 20 to 30 minutes from the park, and the rooms and amenities were great. After a full day hiking, the restaurant and bar were a good way to wind down. The indoor pool and its jacuzzi hit the spot too. I don't often take a short vacation and think how nice it'd be to sit by a river with a beer, but this place gave me that feeling. I'd recommend it to my friends. I've been visiting Yosemite from Las Vegas for four years, and usually stay in Oakhurst because of the lodging prices. It works until you factor in the drive to the park, a full day hiking, then the trip back to town. This time I wanted a change and found this gem. Bonus for next time: the YART bus stops in front of the hotel, making it easier to get into the park.

Waking up to the river from a balcony room was breathtaking, so book one with a river view if you can. We were lucky to see Yosemite under a snowstorm, with rare snowy scenery. The heater kept the room warm, and the River Restaurant next door was a paradise after a day trekking in the snow. The apple pie and chicken wings are hidden gems, and the grocery store had everything we needed. Staff were super friendly. The location and price for what you get are great. The drive to the park entrance is 2 miles, with Elephant Rocks and the Merced River along the way. We'll definitely book here again instead of staying in the park.

This was our second Thanksgiving at YVL, and I'm in love with the place. The river views from the spacious rooms and kitchenettes are enchanting, and the large patios facing the Merced are perfect for morning coffee. There's a jacuzzi in the bathroom, plus a heated pool and gaming room. For an affordable price, you also get a full restaurant, a pizza place, convenience store, and gift shop. I picked up some unique handcrafted holiday ornaments. What more could you ask for?

We loved being so close to central Yosemite, right on the way in. Our room had a balcony over the Merced River and the view made the stay memorable. The kids made good use of the game room, gym, pool, and spa. The restaurant's pizza got an 8/10 from them. We can't wait to visit again, and it's a great family spot. The kitchenette means you can make meals to stay on budget, so buy groceries before arriving. We didn't on the first day and spent a lot on meals in Yosemite. And for anyone unhappy about the WiFi, to me, disconnecting and tuning into the experience is the whole point. Those one-star reviews should be nulled. I can't wait to book again.

The patio beside the river made our room beautiful, and the location can't be beat. Staff were friendly at check-in and in the restaurant. We had delicious food there for both breakfast and dinner, and enjoyed the pools and clubhouse games. A very pleasant stay. I'll be back!
