AC Hotel by Marriott Los Angeles South Bay

The hotel is beautiful, the room was nicely put together, and the rooftop bar was amazing. Housekeeping and maintenance were both kind and helpful. John at the front desk was nice, and the overnight valet was especially sweet and helpful. There was no microwave in the room, and the hydration station needs a cleaning. The laundry wasn't available here, so we had to use the neighboring Hyatt. Also, another guest was given a key to the room we were in.

Marriott's customer service has been a letdown lately. I prepaid for airport parking, and my confirmation said a shuttle back would be provided with instructions. There were no exclusions listed. When I returned, I was told to take an Uber or taxi, so I paid another $25 for a ride the two miles to the hotel. An employee said the shuttle hours showed on his computer. That doesn't help when guests can't see the hours or exclusions. The valet ticket only had a shuttle pickup phone number and said nothing about operating hours. Terrible service.

Melanie and Cristian at the front desk made me feel welcome and got me checked in smoothly. I had arrived early after missing my flight earlier that day, which meant I needed to stay an extra night in LA. They understood the situation and waived the $50 early check-in fee, even though they could have followed the hotel's procedure and charged it. I'm already a Marriot member, and being treated this way makes me want to stay with Marriot wherever I go for the rest of my life.

I can't sleep because the noise above room 632 is so loud it even shakes the walls. It seems to be the air conditioning, or something else on the roof. I'm really upset. I looked through the reviews and saw other people had raised the same problem. They offered me free breakfast, but breakfast isn't what I need. I need quiet.
