Holiday Inn Express Newark Airport Elizabeth by IHG

We only stayed one night for an event in Elizabeth, NJ. The second room was clean and comfortable, and the front desk staff were polite and helpful when we asked to move because the air conditioner in the first room was louder than an industrial fridge. The bed was a bit too firm for us, though. Coffee was good, but we didn't get to try breakfast. Service was good overall, and I might give the hotel another try if I'm back in the area. The parking was a letdown: weeks after the storm, many spaces were still covered in dirty snow, which didn't seem acceptable when parking costs $20 a day.

The rooms were clean and up to date, and the front desk staff were friendly and knowledgeable. What stood out most was how helpful the communication was. They texted a few days before check-in with a welcome, stay details, and an explanation of the parking offer for people flying out, so we could plan and stay on schedule. On the day we checked in, they followed up to answer any remaining questions. I could text a trained employee directly instead of a bot. It made the whole process feel easy and stress-free.

Gianny, I think that was her name, was so nice and helped me out after I arrived late from a long flight. My phone was down to 2%, and even though the hotel didn't have chargers for sale, she let me use hers in the lobby so I could charge it for the next day. The breakfast buffet was good, and the shuttle ran on time. I came to Newark for work and didn't expect much from a Holiday Inn, but the stay was great. I'd recommend it to my colleagues.

This was our first overnight stay before a 7:00 am flight. The desk staff answered my questions quickly and gave useful advice. The rooms were clean, the price was reasonable, and the hotel is very close to the airport. There's a shuttle every 30 minutes to the air train, or the desk can book a cab straight to the terminal if you have too much luggage for the air tram. There's no food on site, so we walked to Hilton for a nice meal and some fresh air. Thanks to the staff!
