On the way back from spreading my mom’s ashes, I accidentally left the necklace she had given me, along with a pair of earrings, on the sink. I called several times to ask about it and never got a call back. After someone said they’d check lost and found, I was hung up on. They claimed they contacted my significant other, whose name was on the reservation, to say they hadn’t found anything, but he never got a call either. The staff were rude, inattentive, and unwilling to help. We had a bad experience with another Wyndham hotel on this trip too. I’d recommend staying with a different hotel company.

The room felt unsafe to me, and Motel 6 across the highway seems like a better option. This place is very dated and needs a lot of upkeep and updating. The bathroom wasn’t too bad, but the rest of the room needs repairs and improvements.

We got to the motel and found that the room didn’t work for us because there weren’t enough beds. I’d booked the Super 8 in Elizabethtown, KY online, but it turned out to be a Priceline affiliate site, not an actual Super 8 site. Staff wouldn’t let us switch rooms and said it had to be handled online; the website said the motel staff had to do it. They made no effort to help or offer even a partial solution. The motel was nearly empty, so there were clearly rooms available, and they could have moved us for a reasonable fee. Extremely unhappy with the staff.

I didn’t feel safe when I arrived, and the rooms didn’t seem clean. There was no shampoo or conditioner in the room.

Our room was freezing when we got there because nobody had turned on the heat. The rear entrance was filthy too, with a pile of cigarette butts and some chunky liquid I couldn’t identify.
