The hotel was rundown and smelled bad, and even the breakfast food didn't look edible. We came with a large group, and nearly everyone got locked out of their room multiple times because the key cards stopped working. Staff tried to blame our phones, but I kept my cards separate after they said that and had the same problem. Lots of people keep cards in a case attached to their phones, so if that's the issue, they should figure it out. But that wasn't it. I don't understand how this place gets 5 stars, or even 2. If you want a really cheap hotel that gives you what you pay for, this is it. With so many other choices in the area, I can't see why you'd pick it. There's algae growing all over the back of the building, too.

The staff helped me get a room near the entrance so I wouldn't have to haul all my gear through the hotel, and they approved a later checkout that worked better for my travel schedule. I was traveling through as a musician and needed somewhere safe, clean, spacious, and affordable for a weekend, not luxury. As a small woman traveling alone with thousands of dollars of gear, I felt completely safe. The parking was close and well lit. My suite had a little living room area with a sofa and coffee table, which gave me plenty of space for my things. The room was mostly clean: the toilet, sink, shower, and bed were all quite clean, though the walls needed wiping and a few corners seemed to have been missed while sweeping and mopping. The hot tub was unfortunately closed, but breakfast was good, with eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, pastries, and other classics. Everything I tried was respectable and filling. The room was comfortable and standard, nothing glamorous or pristine, but just right for an unfussy trip at a great price.

We checked in on March 7th 2026, and paid 400 dollars on the card plus a 100 cash deposit for a suite with a jacuzzi tub. My wife and I agreed that was a mistake. The room was dark and smelled like a horror movie. The tub jets wouldn't start, and the desk clerk came back to say you had to press hard with a pen to turn them on. I felt like MacGyver. The TV had no cable until I found the dishbox and unplugged and replugged it. The smoke detector hung off the ceiling, the closet doors wouldn't shut, and when the key card worked, we had to hit the door like we were running into it because the lock wouldn't fully release. The bed left me so sore the next morning. Breakfast eggs and sausage were so bad I wouldn't give them to an enemy; the sausage was white and the eggs were very wet. Kids were running loudly all over the place. The pool area wasn't clean or nice, and the hot tub was covered with 2 boards, filled with water, and labeled permanently closed. There were about 10 hotels in the area, and I wouldn't stay here again even if the rooms were free. Never again. I don't need the owner to reply with an apology. Just clean the hotel and make it better.

The room keys stopped working every other time, and inside was as bad as the poorly kept exterior: dirty, with a funky smell. It looks like the place was abandoned in 1997 and reopened last week without any cleaning or updates. There are plenty of hotels nearby, so choose any of them instead.
