Springhill Suites by Marriott Chicago Elmhurst/Oakbrook Area

Heather brought such a good vibe to breakfast each morning. She was a real rockstar, and the whole staff worked well together to help guests feel at ease. We stayed four weeknights, and everyone we dealt with was kind and helpful. The spacious room had a microwave, fridge, and a little living room area. A very pleasant stay, and I’ll come back next time I’m in the Chicago area.

The parking was sufficient, and breakfast had plenty of choices, though it was just so-so. Our room was roomy and notably quiet, with a hot shower and good water pressure. The tub area and curtain were the one annoyance: standing under the showerhead was awkward because the curtain kept wrapping around me. The hotel is fairly close to ORD.

The location made it easy to get around, and I slept well on the comfortable beds. Staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful throughout the stay. Breakfast was decent, though there’s room for improvement, and parts of the hotel are starting to look dated. Still, it was a comfortable stay and a solid choice.

They said the refund would come two days after checkout, then changed that to 1-2 weeks. Breakfast was frustrating too, since staff kept clearing everything away while we were still eating. There weren’t any toothbrushes or toothpaste in the room. Worse, the room had lice, and staff unlocked the door and came in while we were still in bed instead of knocking and waiting for us to answer.
