Grand Ely Lodge Resort & Conference Center

I work as a photobooth operator with Complete Weddings & Events, and the event layout made it easy to move between spaces and keep guests involved. There are options for both intimate gatherings and bigger receptions, with a main banquet area that works well through the night. On-site accommodations and amenities also help vendors and guests enjoy the event without stress. The lodge pairs rustic charm with modern conveniences, and its peaceful, scenic setting still feels close to town. Grand Ely Lodge has a relaxed Minnesota Northwoods feel and makes a memorable place for weddings and other events.

The room was comfortable, with a great lake view from the third floor, and the front desk staff were friendly enough to let us check in 45 minutes early. The lobby is beautiful, with wooden beams and a huge vault. I wish the gift shop type items were in an actual gift shop, though I’m guessing there isn’t room for a separate area. It would also have been nice if the fireplace had been lit during our stay. We were in town for a wedding down the road. The rooms were pricey, but that’s understandable in fall. It was a great stay, and I’d come back if I’m in the area.

The staff are very kind and accommodating, and there’s everything you need for recreation or just relaxing. A great place to stay. Highly recommend!

We’ve stayed here twice and loved it both times. The beds and pillows are comfortable, the place is cozy, and the location is great. Everyone on staff is friendly. After a day out exploring, we especially enjoy the pool, hot tub, and sauna.
