Relax Inn

We found roaches, and my fiancé was bitten several times by bed bugs. The rooms are worn down, too. There was a leaking faucet, a dirty shower, floors that didn't look swept, sheets that seemed unchanged, dingy towels, and a dirty microwave. We notified the health department. I hope something is done, since people are paying their hard-earned money for such poor quality.

I was in town from NY for my grandmother’s funeral, and this stay was awful. The ice machine didn't work, the staff were rude, and the refrigerator leaked. The first room was disgusting, with a dirty, rusty microwave and an old smell. I asked to switch, but the next room was just as bad, so I took my bags and requested a refund. This hotel should be shut down. Days Inn, six minutes away, was 100% better. I wish there were a zero-star option.

The staff are wonderful, and the rooms are clean. Great showers, and no bugs.

The bathroom needed work: paint was peeling from the ceiling, there was no toilet paper holder, and the sink looked like it might fall off with all that caulk. I also had to wipe down dirty tables. But the smell in the room was the dealbreaker. It was horrible, maybe a very strong deodorizer or sanitizer, and it irritated my nose and made me cough. My husband has lung problems and felt sick to his stomach, like he might throw up. Febreze and a plug-in didn't help. When we told one of the owners, she just said, “just open the door” and that I was the only one complaining. She didn't offer to find us a room that didn't smell that way. We weren't going to risk getting short of breath or collapsing just because the price was cheap, so we packed up and left. At Days Inn, another woman in front of us had also just left the same horrific hotel. Relax Inn doesn't feel relaxing at all. “Stinky Inn” would fit better. Please don't check in here.
