Sun Coast Inn

The shower was great, and my third-floor King Suite felt brand new. I had a lovely stay in January 2026. The only issue was the bed had just a top sheet and a lightweight cover, with no proper blankets. I ended up turning the heat up to 80. They should leave extra blankets in the closet, or better yet, put them on the bed.

I was assigned room 305 for the night, but the door wouldn't latch or lock properly. When I checked it, the top screw on the metal plate wasn't screwed in all the way, and the door had a deep notch where it had been rubbing. The receptionist said it had only happened that day, but the indentation looked far too deep for that. See the photos. I wouldn't stay here.

For the price and location, this place is a great value. The rooms were clean, with nice walk-in showers, and Pardon at the front desk was very nice. Highly recommend!

We used to love staying here when it was Veranda Inn, but the new owners aren't taking care of the place. The biggest problem was a urine stain on the mattress pad that we noticed because of the smell. We reported it and were told it would be replaced, but when we came back only the sheets had been changed. After asking again, we got an ill-fitting mattress cover and sheets with a burn hole. The mattress itself was okay, so we managed to sleep using the sheets and some towels. The tub also leaked underneath, and there were holes in the walls. When we went to check out at 8:15 a.m., the office was closed, so we couldn't speak to anyone again.
