Most of the service was excellent. The front desk lady was pleasant and helpful at check-in, and a housekeeper brought extra items we’d run out of. But a tall man yelled at me about my dog being in the grass. The signs there say pet waste can transmit disease and ask people to leash, curb, and clean up after pets; the photo even shows a leashed dog, and there are no signs saying dogs aren’t allowed. He was rude. At checkout, the man wouldn’t give me the General Manager’s name, and I couldn’t get a receipt for the dog fees I’d paid. That rude interaction is why I gave service a 2. The tub is in poor condition, and the trim on the bathroom door jamb is loose.

They were kind enough to let us leave our extra belongings at the hotel while we went hiking part of the Wonderland Trail the next day. The room and bathroom were clean, and the service was great. We had a VERY positive experience!

The rooms were dated but clean, and the hotel is very convenient for getting to Mt. Rainier NP. There was no breakfast, and the A/C made a terrible racket. I paid $150 a night in Aug 2025, and the manager seemed surprised by that rate, saying the normal price was $230.

The staff were friendly, and I had no real problems at the hotel. The room felt hot and musty when I arrived, but the AC units worked just fine. Check-in was easy. The parking situation could be better, though I’d stay here again.

The room had been updated, with a clean bathroom and a really comfortable bed. The pool was clean too, and the ice machine and cable TV were good.
