The Water Street Inn

We’ve been here twice now, and we’re already planning to return every year. Gretchen and her staff were wonderful during our four-night stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed the lovely view. Gretchen suggested many places to explore, and the new outdoor hot tub was just right after a day out.

The sunset view is gorgeous, and I loved the peaceful setting and great service. The fire pit, lawn games, robes, and color-changing hot tub were all lovely touches. This is one of my favorite places I’ve stayed so far.

Management, especially general manager Gretchen, handled a family trying to take over the pool with professionalism and kept it from spoiling the experience for everyone else. You can tell the staff and management care about making your vacation comfortable and enjoyable. The Water Street Inn was my best stay in Door County and one of my best stays anywhere. I’m looking forward to coming back next year.

The staff worked hard and were exceptionally nice. We stayed three nights and enjoyed the harbor view, the large front lawn and pretty grounds, the fire pit with Adirondack chairs, chairs on the pier, and the little beach area. The room was comfortable and clean, and we could walk to the shops and Wilson's ice cream shop. The pool and hot tub were nice, too. After checkout, the cleaning staff found my prescription glasses and called me right away, so thankfully I could go back for them. I’d definitely return. A full-length mirror would be nice, and maybe a microwave as well. Great place.
