Ephraim Motel

It's easy to plan your day from here since you can walk to a few restaurants, mini golf, and shops, and it's centrally placed for getting around without lots of backtracking. The pool is a nice little spot, with plenty of private nooks outside for family or friends to hang out. Breakfast was great and an easy way to start our day. Perfect little getaway.

Now this is the place I always stay when I'm in Door County, after trying lots of different motels here. It's welcoming and the staff are pleasant to talk with, always happy to share tips on places to see and things to do. The lovely breakfast has homemade hot dishes, too. The property sits back from the highway, so you don't hear the usual traffic noise.

The rooms were incredibly clean, the staff were wonderful, and the hotel itself was cute, quiet, and well located between fish creek and sister bay. Still, I wouldn't stay again. The pool was crispy cold and didn't seem heated. Even with the AC blasting, the rooms felt wet and humid. At night I was hot but also cold, and woke up almost wet, like I had a fever. The rooms are small for more than two people, and at 5’7” I had to duck under the low shower head to wash my hair.

We stayed over the 4th of July holiday and were really happy with everything. The employees were out cleaning and tidying every day, and the whole property, including our room, was spotless. We could tell they cared about maintaining the place. The playground and heated pool were definite pluses for our two year old. It's conveniently located between Ephraim and Sister Bay, so everything we wanted to do was a short drive away. We'd stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
