The room had a lot of QR codes asking guests to tip housekeeping digitally. We arrived late and went right to bed, no issues there. The next morning, the shower was holding two to three inches of standing water, like a shallow indoor pond, and it wouldn't drain. I had to shower above the ankles first, then wash my feet after standing in water that I can only hope was just from the previous guests. Both washcloths had brown stains, so I used hand towels and a bar of soap instead, like camping in 1994. Under the desk were crusty Q-tips, just sitting there. With the debris on the floor and all that water in the shower, it seemed impossible that either area had been cleaned. Cleanliness is the baseline for hospitality. At checkout they offered a coupon for a future stay. I appreciate the gesture, but I'll pass. My tip is to start by actually cleaning the room.

We came for a concert at the stadium, and the location was very convenient. Breakfast was decent, with waffle makers and biscuits and gravy. The elevator was the slowest I've ever experienced, so take the stairs! The woman at reception was really sweet and helpful. I'd stay again.

The first time staying in a suite was for an important occasion, and I appreciated it. Maricela was there right when she was needed. I wish bacon were served every day along with the sausage. I didn't find the evening cookies mentioned on a sign, but that was okay. I heard a strange dog somewhere, too, but I'd definitely stay again. For the most part, everything was good.

The room smelled so moldy and gross that my 14 year old daughter's asthma started acting up. The hallways also smelled of mold and weed smoke, and the pool area looked dark, old, dirty, and had trash around it. The halls needed a deep clean, and the tiny elevator felt dangerous. We tried to check out five minutes after entering the room, but staff refused a refund or receipt and again accused me of booking through a third party. I booked directly as a rewards member and have several emails to prove it. We left for a cleaner, safer hotel and will dispute the charge. I'll never stay at this chain again or remain loyal. This incident endangered my child's health. Do not stay here! At check-in, they couldn't find my reservation, accused me of using a third party when I hadn't, and only found it eventually. The staff member came off as rude. In response to the hotel's reply: I literally booked directly with my rewards number, and have the email to prove it. I can send that proof. I suggest you look into this.

At check-in time the room wasn't ready, so we waited about 20 minutes in the lobby while cleaning staff "verified" it was clean. The front desk said they had no other rooms because they were at capacity. Once we finally got keys, we found dead and live bugs, spaghetti sauce splattered across walls and cabinets, crumbs on the counter, sticky grime in every fridge shelf, a coffee maker with old water and dirty, sauce-stained complimentary coffee pods shoved into it, stained pillows, and black mold in the bathroom. There was so much dust on heaters, window ledges, light fixtured, and the ceiling that it couldn't have accumulated in one night. That points to a systemic cleaning issue, not a one-time mistake. I booked online, and the desk refused a refund, saying it would take money away from the booking company. With the hotel at capacity, we couldn't move rooms. They offered only a future-stay coupon. I called hotels.com, and their agent contacted the front desk, which confirmed it would not refund anything and would only give the coupon. Trash was in the halls, and the heaters had dust and grime. Save your money and stay far away from the Eugene La Quinta location. Update after seeing the owner's response: we did ask them to clean while we were out at an evening event. When we got back, the fridge was still dirty, there was still mold in the bathroom, the coffee maker hadn't been cleaned, and the pods and creamer were still shoved in dirty water. Dust and grime remained in the heating vents, which blew it all around during the night. We won't stay again. The 20% off next stay coupon to "make this visit right" is going in the garbage.
