They gave me a room that wasn’t fit to stay in. They said it was the only one available and the previous guests had just left after three weeks, so they’d only changed the sheets and vacuumed. My car was also broken into while I was there, and management wouldn’t help with the one camera they have. They basically said it was my fault for staying downtown and that this happens at any hotel around there. People wander around the parking lot, and there are druggies breaking into cars. You have to ring a bell and wait for an employee to come to the door. It’s family-run, but they sit in their room all day instead of working. Don’t stay unless you can handle this kind of place. Expect crime and lousy management.

It’s a small, family-owned place, and it can get hectic because people in the area camp beside the property and cause damage. It’s not the sort of place I’d pick for a tourist trip or a regular hotel stay. But for a struggling couple with two four-legged kids, working paycheck to paycheck while we try to find a home, it’s perfect. You can walk to just about everything except a grocery store. Ashley, I believe that’s her name, was kind and understanding about our situation, and that means the world to us.

The place was so filthy I’d almost rather have slept outside. They need at least one housekeeper to turn over rooms. They don’t clean anything at all.

The owner and his family are incredibly kind, which makes it hard to say anything negative. The rooms are very old and dated, so much so that they seem dirty.
