We had to leave in the middle of the night after catching a man snooping around our room and then trying to break in once it got dark. The owner or manager was away at the lake the whole time. After we’d reached another state the next day, she asked what had happened. We explained everything, and she said the same man had attacked someone else on the property with a knife after we left. Other tenants had to step in and stop him. It was a nightmare. The place has changed a lot in the past few years and no longer looks like the pictures. The owner and manager seemed disorganized, and there was no front desk. It didn’t feel like a functioning hotel. Half the property looked vacant or abandoned, while only the center building was being used to house people. It felt shady, like low-income housing with no background checks for people trying to stay under the radar. While we were there, another man on the other side of the property seemed to be involved in some kind of human trafficking situation. He kept one woman locked in his room the whole time. We only learned that after leaving. Another woman seemed heavily drugged and wandered in circles around the parking lot and balcony, disturbing other guests. She had no shoes, wore the same clothes every day, and hadn’t showered for weeks. The man was gone all day, then let her into his room when he came back. There seemed to be very dark things going on there.

By 2025, these were efficiency units with lots of room for kids and dogs to play. Keep the price in mind, since you get what you pay for. Things can get strange very quickly, and you may feel you need to upgrade urgently before your lease is up.

My husband and I were looking for a place to stay in Eureka Springs and stopped here because of the name. The woman told us it had originally been an apartment building, not a hotel, and that they rented rooms for at least three nights. We ended up staying somewhere more welcoming. First, she’d just woken up with some kind of migraine and expected us to call a number for a quote. That was frustrating. You shouldn’t ask potential customers to do your job. Then, while showing us the room, she kept complaining that she hadn’t planned on more people and wanted to drive home. It felt like she didn’t want us to stay, so we took the hint and chose another place.

The front porch and its two rocking chairs were my favorite. Our room was clean and spacious, with clean, comfortable beds, and the young women at the desk were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, too. We didn’t try the pool since it was chilly that mid-October weekend. The hotel is quaint and well located, close to everything. I’d definitely recommend it.

The pool was a clean, beautiful break from the heat after walking around downtown. My family and I had a great time at this quaint motel, and taking the trolley was easy since it has its own stop. Breakfast is continental, but there are plenty of places to eat. We grabbed coffee in the office, and the location, service, and value made this a great place to stay.
