Mobility could be a concern here since there are lots of stairs to reach the rooms and get around town. Otherwise, The Peabody House Historic Inn in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, was a gem for us. Our Victorian-style room was beautiful, spotless, and better than expected, with an incredibly comfortable bed. Breakfast was hearty and included healthy options. You're just steps from downtown attractions. Hands-down, this is the B&B to choose for a memorable stay!
Tamara was a very accommodating host, and the Cottage had everything we needed for our one night stay this past weekend. It was clean and nicely decorated, and the location is hard to beat, with just one long staircase down to Main St. After a full day hiking around town, though, those steep steps were a bit much. The jacuzzi was great, but turning on the jets sent dirt and sand flying out, which wasn't ideal. I expected a sweet treat based on other reviews, but there were only some snacks, nothing special. Breakfast was a mix of store bought pastries, packaged granola and biscotti bars, yogurt, fruit, granola parfait, coffee, and juice. We liked the seating areas, firepit, and patio overlooking Main Street, where we had a glass of wine. All in all, it was a great stay, and we'd go back.
The location was amazing, and we had a great room, host, and breakfast. Staying in this historic house was quite an experience.
We nearly had to cancel, which would have been awful because they have a no cancellations policy, and they should keep it. The host was awesome, the rooms were great, and everything was well cared for and welcoming. The room was set up with a lot of thought, including spare toothbrushes and snacks. I'd recommend staying here to anyone. Nicely done, Peabody team.
Getting to the shops and restaurants in the heart of Eureka on foot was easy from The Peabody House. It's just off the main downtown strip, up a set of stairs, and we left the car parked for the first couple of days. The inn itself was charming and beautiful inside and out. We loved the dark Victorian look of the parlor where breakfast was served. We stayed in The Sapphire Suite, a magical room full of blue and gold. It was spotless and cool when we arrived, even though it was nearly 90 degrees outside. Check-in was easy, with the instructions emailed ahead of time, and there were a few snacks and refreshments in the room. The jacuzzi tub worked perfectly, and we really enjoyed it. Breakfast was simple but delicious: fresh coffee and orange juice, fruit, muffins, and granola parfaits. On two mornings, our innkeeper also baked a delicious spinach and tomato quiche. Tamara made the trip special. She was lovely to talk with, kind and attentive, and gave us great recommendations during our stay.
