Holiday Inn Express & Suites Eureka by IHG

We paid $166.97 after tax for one night through priceline third party, plus a $75 deposit. The lobby looks amazing when you walk in, and the receptionist was friendly, though I didn’t get his name. The location was great, close to In-N-Out and Jack in the Box, with a few homeless people around Jack, a few minutes from Target and Walmart, and a Costco in the back. The room with two beds was spacious, and the blankets were thick and real. But the beds stank. All the sheets and pillows had a really old, dusty smell. It wasn’t strong enough to be constant, but it would waft up now and then. My husband was fine, but I woke up a few times because of it and had to find a position where I couldn’t smell anything. I didn’t sleep well. Breakfast was good, with lots of options, including scrambled eggs and an omelet. After reading reviews about the hotel, we got up early in case they shut it down ahead of schedule. Sorry for the mind twister lol. The indoor pool was cool and working. The gym was just a room with an outdated treadmill that would stop abruptly, then start again, xrepeat. The coffee maker was in the bathroom. The fridge was basically a freezer, while the microwave worked well. The shower head was removable, so you could hold it. There were no trash bags in the cans, so we put plastic Walmart bags in them. Love the 24/7 hot cocoa, great for kids.

We had a quiet room, and check-in and checkout both went smoothly. The staff were really friendly, and the breakfast was great. I also loved having an indoor pool and spa for cold, rainy days. There were a few old stains on the curtains, but I finally managed to ignore them.

The staff were awesome, and the room was clean, quiet, and big, with a nice bed and TV. Breakfast had a good range of choices for this kind of hotel. No complaints, though the WiFi might have been a little slow for me.

The location worked well, with what I needed either at the hotel or a short walk away. I especially liked the pool, which was clean and relaxing after a long day, and the laundry room was handy. My room was spacious and spotless, with a cozy bed and modern design. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were professional and friendly, and always ready to help with anything I needed. I had an amazing stay and would definitely come back.
