Studio 6 Lubbock, Tx

What finally made me leave was the unbearable heat. Even after both air conditioners had been running for three hours, the room wouldn't cool down. I tried to stick it out, but after a couple more hours with no relief, I was so uncomfortable that I chose to drive through the night instead of staying another minute. It was my first and last Studio 6 stay, and I've had much better luck at Motel 6 locations. There were plenty of other problems too: a cockroach in the kitchen, a large cigarette burn on the kitchen table, and a chair that seemed ready to break when I sat down. The bed had no headboard. The lot looked run down, and the office was awkwardly placed. I also had to wait for the teller to evict someone before I could check in. That's why I gave it one star.

There were so many roaches, and we even found a mouse in the room. When I cleaned from top to bottom, including the walls, floors, and tub, I found a large hole with two mice. The place was really dirty, like nobody cleans the rooms. It smelled strongly of cigarettes, the toilet seat wasn't attached, and there were yellow drips on the walls. Very disappointing.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room on the Studio 6 side seemed clean at first. Later, though, we spotted roaches in the kitchenette. They told us not many people stay on that side. Some parts of the property are being worked on.

This Lubbuck location is awful, neglected, and really dirty, with bedbugs everywhere. I've found franchises in other states to be fine, but this one is terrible.
