The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and the location was excellent. Still, my room needed a serious cleaning. Wiping a small patch of the bathroom floor showed how dirty it was, and the property felt worn and in need of repairs. I stayed four nights, but housekeeping only replaced the towels. I understand some hotels have changed their cleaning policies, though I would have appreciated a proper clean at least once. The layout also felt short on privacy: the wall between the bed and bathroom was partly open, and the rolling barn style shower and bathroom doors wouldn't stay shut. With better upkeep and a few design fixes, this place could be much better.

Check-in was easy, and the receptionist was so sweet and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean, and in great shape, and the beds were comfortable. I slept really well, and somehow the temperature stayed just right all night. I travel a lot and hate when rooms get hot even after adjusting the thermostat. I was nervous because the reviews were so mixed, and I'm skeptical when something sounds like a bot wrote it, so I hope this is useful. The location is handy for good shopping, too. Snacks are available to buy, but there's no free breakfast, so keep that in mind. I'm sorry some people had a bad stay. It seems like management listened and fixed things.

The location is good, and the woman who checked me in was sweet and helpful. But after driving six hours, I wasn't up for a man following me outside while I got my bags, then back in to ask me to have a drink with him. The bar is right by the entrance, so that's the first thing you see. The room was dirty: toothpaste on the mirror, a bathroom outlet cover that didn't look safe, stains on the wood floor and carpet, and crumbs in the first bed I picked. My socks were filthy after about half an hour in the room. When I checked out, the man was nice, but I had to wake him twice. He wasn't at the desk, he was stretched out on the round couch. I went to Lubbock for two days but stayed here only one night. I was disappointed after reading reviews calling it clean, and wouldn't recommend staying here.

After traveling for a grandparent's passing and all the stress around that, it meant a lot to have a safe place to stay with our deaf pup. The dog potty area was helpful, and check-in and checkout were easy. We've stayed twice, though both times the bathroom doors rolled back open. There aren't many great views, but the downstairs bar stays open until midnight, and there are good restaurants that deliver through DoorDash if you need dinner or want to unwind. I especially suggest Velvet Taco. If you're hoping to sleep past 5 a.m., I'd choose a second floor room. From the ground floor, you can hear everyone checking out.

The staff were wonderful, and the place itself was beautiful and very clean. My room was just okay, with a fridge and coffee maker but no microwave. The breakfast was only individually priced things like muffins, yogurt, and premade breakfast sandwiches. Calling it an on-the-go breakfast for an extra $3.50 felt a little misleading. I was especially disappointed about the bathtub. I booked that room because its details said shower and bathtub combo, but there was no tub. I'd just had immunotherapy for cancer, which makes my body really sore for the first few days, and I wanted to soak. I stayed two days and really wanted to go somewhere else after the first evening.
