The kids were thrilled with the pool, and we loved having so much room to spread out. The screened porches were a nice extra place to unwind, and the kitchen setup made things easy for our family. Staff were warm and helpful, with clear directions for checking in at a spot about a minute up the street. That worked out fine. It was also a great base for our Everglades tour. We had a lovely stay and would recommend it.

The lake, scenery, and wildlife were good, but the hotel room was awful. There were mosquitoes all over the property, along with hornets. Inside, the air conditioning didn't cool the room below 75 degrees no matter what we tried, and the bathroom door wouldn't stay shut. Even locked, it opened with a light push. Apart from the hotel, our Everglades experience was fairly decent.

The rooms at Captains Table hotel are modern inside, with a spacious kitchen, a large shower, and a really comfortable bed. Check-in staff were friendly and gave us useful information about the area and where to eat. We’ve stayed here twice now. The building exterior could use some attention, and the porch screens need replacing, but we’ll definitely come back.

For the price, the room was a great deal, with a fridge and microwave, and everything was clean. The front desk welcome and help were especially friendly and first class. What more do you need?

During the low season, I had to check in at a different hotel. It's a standard motel in a tourist town, with very large rooms, a fridge, and a microwave. The beds were comfortable.
