Ivy made my stay at Studio 6 in Fairfield, Ohio so pleasant. She seemed to be managing everything from the front desk to housekeeping, yet she was still warm and welcoming. At check-in, she shared useful ideas for places to eat and things to do nearby, which helped make the visit better. She was professional, positive, and always willing to help. Her effort really showed, and I felt valued as a guest. The hotel was comfortable, and the customer service was what stood out most. Thanks, Ivy!

The building is rundown, with dingy carpet, hallway odors, thin threadbare towels, and only a few suites with limited availability. Housekeeping was slow and the cart was raggedy. Some staff were nice, but Rikki was unkempt and unprofessional. She looked and smelled unclean, was brash, brought her child to work frequently, and reeked of cigarettes. Before checkout time, she came into my room while I was sleeping, sweaty and wearing a small dirty t-shirt. She admitted it wasn't yet 11 and said she just wanted to come in. When I objected, she threatened to make me leave. I wasn't going to move my family based on the whims of a disheveled stranger and her emotions. I came to see her as vindictive and personally fixated on me. I had been told late payment would cost $15 per hour after 11, but instead she called Fairfield police to knock on my door. They had spoken with me when I arrived, then left. Hopefully their visit cost more than the $73 they initially said I owed. Since I was already planning to move after she entered the room, I cleaned it and had to wait for Easter to pass. Calling the police instead of simply phoning or emailing me was her choice. It was an escalation instead of a direct, professional response. I wouldn't have argued or fought to keep an outdated, dingy room. Almost every other hotel in Fairfield is cleaner, better staffed, and has nicer amenities. Do yourself a favor and go to the Holiday Inn or the Hilton up the street. You get what you pay for, and this place is run like a halfway house.

I didn't feel safe here at all. People stood around smoking weed at every entrance, and the whole property, including the lobby, smelled of it. The kitchenette was useless, there was no coffee maker, the recliner was shredded, and I had to wash bugs out of the bathtub. I booked two nights but left after the first, and of course got no refund. Also, if you saw the management reply asking me to talk more and giving an email address, that email is fake. There are only two handicap spots, and a worker uses one. Don't stay there.

The good parts were the bathroom, furniture, bed, room size, and fast food across the road. But the rest was frustrating. There was no basic kitchen stuff at all: no spoons, plates, forks, salt, pepper, tea, coffee, or even a pot for boiling eggs. The fridge sounded like it was from World War 1, especially when the thermostat kicked in, and made it hard to sleep. The carpet seemed to be from World War 2. After 47 years of traveling and seeing all civilizations, the service desk was the most useless I've ever encountered.

I don't usually leave negative reviews, but this room was disgusting and looked like it had never been cleaned. There was mold in the bathtub, half a used bar of soap on the ledge, and dirty food bits all over the outside of the fridge. There weren't any dishes either, and apparently using them costs a $40 rental fee. They also sprang a $10 "housekeeping" charge on me for a stay under seven days. Apparently there's new ownership, and they're nickel and diming people who need an affordable place.
