The front desk staff tried to help when I reported the missing door stopper wedge alarm, and I believe they did what they knew how to do. What disappointed me was the lack of a clear process or any follow-up. I was told someone would get back to me the next day after checking with housekeeping and lost and found, but I never heard anything. I’ve stayed at this Hampton Inn in Fairmont several times for work and had pleasant visits until this one. I travel often as a single woman and keep the alarm in the same spot every night because it helps me feel safe. It’s not costly, but it was gone. Earlier that day, a housekeeper looking for supplies said a new staff member had cleaned my room. I can’t say what happened, but I do wonder if it was taken or picked up by accident. As a loyal Hilton Honors member who often chooses Hampton Inn, this has made me less comfortable with people cleaning my room. I hope management takes the concern seriously and sets clearer steps for handling guest belongings. I’d like to stay here again and feel the trust I had before.

The place has been really clean on my other visits, and aside from breakfast this was a nice stay. I went down early, but there were hardly any choices and the food was cold.

We had trouble getting the digital key to open our room, but the front desk gave us physical keys and those worked. The bed was comfy, everything was clean, and I really liked the blackout curtain. I’d definitely stay here again if we drove through.

We were traveling from the Charlotte area toward Pennsylvania, and this Hampton was conveniently located. The only thing that bothered me was housekeeping pounding on the door five minutes before checkout. Checkout is at 11, so I should be able to use the room until then.

The check-in was pleasant, and the staff were nice. We also liked the fresh breakfast, and the gym was better than the ones we usually see at Hilton hotels. My wife and I travel a lot, and this was one of our best stays. The room and shared areas felt clean and up to date.
