They confirmed my cabin booking after I paid more than two months ahead, then called two weeks before the stay to cancel, saying “something came up.” They offered neither another place to stay nor any compensation. I never got to experience the resort, so I can’t say how it was, and I won’t be going there in the future.

What a delightful little town and a lovely cottage. The staff were wonderful, and the place is right on the River. I didn’t get a chance to fish this time, but I’m looking forward to coming back. I forgot to mention the Golf Course, too. Such a great area!

There were 22 of us for Labor Day weekend, and renting two duplexes and another cabin gave our group plenty of room. Everything was clean and well appointed, with full kitchens. From my first call, Dirk was helpful and accommodating. We didn’t want to cook, so when I mentioned that to Dirk, he arranged a buffet in the clubhouse each night after we came off the lake. The food was absolutely delicious, and not having to handle cooking or cleanup made the trip better. The staff helped with golf carts, ice for coolers, boat dock information, and anything else we needed.

The two women cooking were awesome, and the fresh food was so good they made sure nobody left hungry. Staff treated us with real hospitality and made us feel at home. We stayed in cabins with three friends, played 27 holes with a cart, and had a great time with the stay and play package. The course is coming back to what it used to be. We’ll be back in the spring. Keep it up!
