Quality Suites Near West Acres

The pool was out of order, and the front desk suggested we use the one at the sister hotel, even though it was -10 in Bismarck ND. After what we found in the room, we cut our vacation short and drove home, arriving around 1am. We weren’t refunded because they said we’d booked through a third party, which was a lie since we had called the main lobby to reserve two conjoining rooms about four weeks ahead. We’re a family of seven. At around 7:00pm they first assigned us two separate rooms, then gave us adjoining ones after we went back downstairs. The bathroom wasn’t clean, its door wouldn’t latch for privacy, and the wall-mounted hair dryer fell while my son was showering. The couches had no cushions, and the mattresses had stains that looked like blood. These conditions felt unsafe and unhealthy. 0/5 stars, do not recommend.

We booked for two nights but left after the first, and the owners wouldn’t refund us. We won’t be back, and I hope nobody else spends their money here. There was nothing positive about this motel. The pool and hot tub were broken, apparently for a long time. The room had a kitchen but nothing to cook with and no dish soap. The bathroom had no hand soap, and the shower dispensers for shampoo and conditioner were empty. The TV had no antenna, so it only worked if you set up your own streaming. Breakfast was nasty: cereal with no milk, stale bread, and a waffle maker that worked fine. The owners seem cheap and money hungry.

For the price, it was clean and a good place to stay. The suite room was roomy, and the bathroom was big and clean too. It’s an old, dated hotel that could use some love. Breakfast was a letdown compared with other hotels I’ve stayed at. They had waffles, toast, bagels, muffins, fruit, and microwave oatmeal, but no hot food. The coffee was okay.

The manager was amazing too, and I’m so grateful for how accommodating everyone was to my husband, a Disabled Veteran. The young lady who checked us in was an absolute doll and went above and beyond to make him comfortable. Thank you.
