Americas Best Value Inn Fargo

The room was freezing. I could see my breath, and it took hours to warm up. The sheets and covers were dirty, and the room had previously had pets even though I’d asked for a room that hadn’t because of my allergies. I was there for about five hours, three of them awake because I was so damn cold, and did nothing in the room. After I posted my review, my deposit was taken, then refunded. Return my money. You stole it once already. My next steps are to make you viral for all the wrong reasons and contact my lawyer, and I’ll file a report.

That one star is just so I can leave a comment, so disregard the rating. If breakfast is “free,” why are we charged extra for it when booking? And what counts as breakfast here, no eggs or meat, or food for a hungry kid home alone? The laundry is apparently a legend for customers. Management and staff have a room marked “out of order” where they all wash their clothes. 😉

I paid $61 for a room advertised at $40, then found out at the property about a $150 deposit that wasn’t mentioned on the website. I never got to stay, and they didn’t refund my $61.

The room at Americas Best Value Inn Fargo was uncomfortable to stay in. The carpet had stains, dust covered the surfaces, and the bathroom didn’t look properly sanitized. I rarely leave reviews, but this was below even basic cleanliness standards. From arrival on, the customer service was dismissive and unhelpful. Staff seemed unconcerned when I asked basic questions, as if guests were an inconvenience. This left a very poor impression. I can’t recommend this location and won’t be back.
