The front desk woman was really nice and said she'd tried to find another sofa bed, though she couldn't, since she only works there and doesn't own the hotel. Still, it's hard to believe nobody had complained about this one before. A big spring was sticking out of the mattress, with none of its fabric cover left. A child could have jumped on it and gotten stabbed. We booked and paid extra for a suite with a pullout sofa because we have a larger family. The room looked right for us until we opened the bed. We could've booked a nonsuite instead. They should also tell guests when they arrive that after 11 p.m. they have to go to the connected hotel for help. I was dumbfounded when I saw them chaining up the front desk. I'd stay again if they fix the sofa bed.

We were charged over $140 a night for a King room, and the Queen rate was over $160. Even with a “stay to play” tournament arrangement, I expect pleasant staff and working access to my room, especially at those prices. An air fryer guests can use is handy, but it doesn't make up for the problems. I won't stay here again. Our hockey team had trouble from check-in through checkout and afterward. My husband arrived with our family on Thursday, January 29, and the front desk employee greeted him rudely, making check-in tedious. He explained we were with a hockey team and asked about common-area rules. The manager overheard and brusquely weighed in about enforcing rules. Her manner made him feel she thought poorly of us and that the rest of the stay would go badly. The first evening, the hotel let us use the breakfast area for a team dinner, and that part went well. We cleaned up, then parents socialized there and in the lobby. At 10:00 an employee told us to leave because the lobby closed at 11:00. She said she needed to clean. Cleaning makes sense, but the area was clean, and asking guests out an hour before closing just to do it felt unprofessional and inappropriate. “I need to clean it” came up more than once, which was odd given how often rooms seemed not to be cleaned. People found trash under beds and dirty bathrooms, and one family reported a cockroach. After another bad interaction in the breakfast area and lobby, our team rented the meeting room. It was a pleasant space, but again we were told to leave so it could be cleaned, which apparently meant taking tablecloths off the tables. These rentals likely have an end time, and an honest explanation that our agreement ended at 10:30PM would have been easier to understand. Key cards kept randomly failing or not working at all. I never got one that would open our room. That's frustrating and a possible safety issue, particularly with nobody at the desk overnight. Breakfast on our first morning was cold. We microwaved it back in our room, but advertised breakfast should be edible when served. My family had no particular checkout problems, but teammates got different final bills despite having the same room type, and some saw extra charges. I think those may have been incidental holds that will drop off, but charges up to $200 without an explanation are concerning, so we'll watch our accounts. After checkout we also learned of a review reporting bed bugs, which means we now have to treat our belongings for possible bugs.

We'd been here about 2 months, and it felt like home. The kitchen in the spacious room meant we didn't have to buy every meal out, and the reasonable rates made the stay less stressful. For the room size, kitchen, cleanliness, and service, I think it's worth even more, though they're not money hungry, lol. The hotel was quiet, clean, maintained, and very family oriented. Everyone made us feel like family. The staff were wonderful and accommodating. The manager quickly sorted out an issue for us. Shauna is friendly, polite, cheerful, and great with guests. She puts out little crochet items and gets people interacting with them, lol. All the front desk clerks were AMAZING IN ALL ASPECTS. Our housekeepers were fantastic too, especially Ms. Cheryl and Ms. Courtney. And the maintenance man was wonderful, fixing anything that broke in a timely fashion. A few smaller things could be better. The pool was clean but always cool, never warm. Internet worked great, though having to log in again every day was a pain. The hot breakfast didn't vary: eggs and sausage Monday through Saturday, biscuits and gravy on Sunday. Cameras in the parking lot would be a good addition. Otherwise, everything about this place was wonderful. I promise you'll enjoy staying here and won't regret it.

After driving for 10 hours, I arrived at 11 p.m. and found the MainStay Hotel desk closed. They sent me to Red Roof to check in. The employee there couldn't find my reservation at first, then checked and said someone had already been checked in under my name. That was unsettling. She gave me keys to a room in the 200s, but since she said someone was already checked in, I asked her to check it with me. There really was someone inside. We went back to Red Roof, she called someone, and arranged another room. The whole mix-up took about 50 minutes of a night when I needed to sleep, eat, and shower. She said she'd put me in their most premium room for the trouble. My original booking was a king suite, which was fine since I was alone. The replacement had three queen beds and a sofa bed, all useless to me, and was a downgrade because I had to sleep on a queen. At 7 a.m. a manager called and demanded that I open the door. I asked why; she insisted I had to. I felt embarrassed that I'd paid for this and was being treated with such disrespect. I was confused, but opened it. She said they'd forgotten to take my ID and demanded it at the door. I was so taken aback that I handed it over. She said everything was fine and it had been a human mistake. This was the worst night of my life. I couldn't sleep because I kept worrying someone might come into my room. I'm going to complain to Quality Inn and Suites and want all my money refunded. We booked through a third party for August 9th, hoping to stop overnight and break up our vacation drive. The reservation and payment went through fine with them, but everything fell apart at the hotel. There was no staff when we arrived, so we waited for someone to come over from another hotel. She asked for my details and insisted on taking my credit card information. Then she wrote the full card details on a piece of paper. I thought that wasn't a proper process, but she said it was just to keep a card on file. The next morning I found several hundred dollars charged by this hotel across 3 transactions. The desk staff didn't know what to do, and they couldn't even find a record of one of the transactions. I had to wait 2 days to speak with the general manager. She wasn't helpful: she said she could refund the extra charges, but could do nothing else about the problems they caused. She told me to ask the third party about a possible refund, even though the hotel had made the other 3 charges. Three days later I'm still dealing with it. I have to cancel my card and change a lot of account details because I don't know what happened to the card information they wrote down. The service from this location's general manager was HORRIBLE.
