The room and hallways made my family feel unsafe and disgusted, so I checked out and asked to cancel the rest of our reservation. The desk employee said they don’t give refunds, and when I asked how to reach management, he told me to Google it. The room had a broken lock, lampshades that looked like they had feces on them, boogers on the wall, and carpet that felt greasy. Kids were yelling through the night, and every conversation in the echoing halls carried into the room. The common areas had an odor I can’t describe, and I wish I could upload it. The man at the desk was nice enough, but all he did was check me in, hand me a card, and point down the hall. This facility is very misleading when you look it up through booking agencies. It is in no way a four-star hotel. Arya was listed among the hotels for a volleyball tournament, and I’m working to have it removed from the recommended options.

I’ve bought things at the Arya Hotel lobby store several times before without trouble, and once an employee even helped me with change. Today, after I’d already made purchases totaling about $5, a new employee told me not to come back because they “don’t sell to people outside.” I’m staying next door at the Motel 6 and have had no problems there. I only walked over because its Coke machine isn’t working. I was just trying to buy a Coke and a Reese’s, like anyone else. If the store has a rule about who can shop there, it should be posted clearly and enforced consistently. No one at Arya Hotel had mentioned a restriction on my earlier visits. Being told to leave after making legitimate purchases was confusing and unnecessary. They made it clear they don’t want my business, so I don’t see any reason to do business with Arya Hotel again.

The price was low for our group, $107 for three adults and one child, with two beds, for three days and two nights. The room was roomy and decent, so in that sense you get what you pay for. Our stay was okay. A few sprays of cologne helped with the mildew smell when we arrived, but the AC barely worked. The room wasn’t hot, though it wasn’t cool either, just warm. The walls were thin, and we could hear everything in the warm hallways. We got up early the first morning for breakfast, only to be told they don’t serve it. The pool was closed too. I’m not sure if that’s seasonal, so call ahead if you’re hoping to swim.

The pool wasn’t maintained and had turned a dark green, mossy color, and streaming services weren’t accessible. There’s a small store inside, but it was understocked with very little to choose from, and nowhere nearby to grab a quick drink or bite. The room itself was comfortable, though the floor had odd divots and the reading lights didn’t work and were barely attached. I was on the second floor. It was noisy at all hours, with the echoing hallways carrying everything people said.

There was no working AC, and the place felt unsafe and disgusting. The pictures are fake. I couldn’t get customer service to refund me even though the hotel wasn’t safe to stay in. I’d give zero stars if I could.
