Room access and the side gates use digital key cards, which made the place feel secure. We also had a quick, easy check-in with polite, helpful staff, and there was coffee, tea, and a few snacks to grab in the morning. The hotel sits in a commercial area with stores, restaurants, and other motels nearby. Three Rivers Eatery & Brewhouse was a short drive away and had good local food and atmosphere. We stayed a couple of nights and found the room comfortable and clean, with a large flat-screen TV, a mini-fridge, and a microwave. The bed was good, and the landscape art gave the room a welcoming, updated feel. There’s plenty of parking around the building, handy if you’re driving. The back part of the lot looks like it may once have held a pool, but it’s now just paved. A quiet, simple stay at a good price for passing through Farmington or visiting the Four Corners region.

No hot water this morning, so we couldn’t shower. That’s especially hard to understand for travelers with kids. The room itself was decent, though the beds weren’t very comfortable. We also had to ask for extra towels, since there were only three for a two-bed room. I’ve stayed with this hotel chain before and never had this happen. If you need to be able to shower, don’t stay here.

I was out of there within an hour. The place was dirty, smelled bad, and was small, nothing like the pictures. It felt like somewhere you wouldn’t even want to get into bed. The front desk employee was unwelcoming, and the elevators were taped off and out of service. I felt unsafe in the room, outside it, and even in the well-lit parking lot. People in the park beside the hotel watched me and followed me while I walked my dogs. The gates need a room card to get through, but that didn’t make me feel safe. The room was cold, and when I turned on the heat it smelled as if it might catch fire. I checked the window above the heater and found that it wouldn’t close properly, had no screen, and had a broken lock. It could easily be opened from outside. Check your windows. I didn’t stay, and I won’t be back.

The room had been updated and the beds were comfortable, so the stay was okay. The heater was strange: it blew cold air in heat mode, but somehow the room did warm up. The shower head was awkward, and the curtain wouldn’t stay fully up. In the morning my key card also wouldn’t open an extra locked gate in the hallway.

The room has no closet, just three hooks for coats, and there’s a good hairdryer but no iron. There’s a small microwave and a medium mini-fridge. The bathtub is on the small side, and it takes some fiddling to get the water temperature comfortable, though the pressure is good. Breakfast is continental, and Village Inn next door is an option if you want more. The beds were comfortable, neither too hard nor too soft. A metal skirt around the bottom keeps things from slipping under the bed, but it sits so close to the edge that we kept kicking it and making a gong-like noise. The floors are LVP without carpet, so I’d bring slippers or grippy socks. Lamps have outlets and USB ports, though a small power strip may help if you have lots to charge. The motel-style rooms have exterior doors, and the property has been recently renovated.
