Embassy Suites by Hilton Fayetteville Fort Bragg

We arrived late during a brief road trip stop and were still greeted warmly by the cheerful receptionist. The spacious room was great and well equipped, with a mini kitchen, microwave, and minibar that worked well for storing the kids’ things. The bathroom was large, everything was very clean, and the toiletries smelled nice and seemed high quality. The beds were comfortable too. Breakfast is included and the buffet looked plentiful, with lots of choices, but it only runs until 9 a.m. We woke up late and only managed to have coffee. The location is convenient for the highway and shops. We had a great stay and recommend it for families. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo.

Joe and his team were amazing during our conference stay and catered to all our needs. The atmosphere was nice, and breakfast had good options, but the food was extremely cold, like it had been sitting out without heat. The social hour food also left a lot to be desired. Early in the morning, a generator blasted in the parking lot and woke me up. Not a pleasant sound to wake to.

The pool and hot tub were a big reason we chose this hotel, but they were useless. When I tried to go 30 minutes before the posted closing time, my room key and app wouldn’t open the door. I had to visit the front desk three times before I got a key. Once inside, the pool was ice cold and the hot tub wasn’t hot. A few minutes later, a maintenance man told me to leave because he’d already closed the area. I pointed out the sign said it should be open for another 18 minutes, but he said he had closed it, so I had to go. The next day, the pool was less chilly after opening time, but the hot tub was still 15° below standard, hours after the space opened. This was a two-night family stay after we’d had a lovely visit a couple of years earlier, and the difference was striking. The hotel has gone to independent ownership and isn’t corporate owned or keeping to brand standards, in my view. The front desk staff weren’t very welcoming, and questions seemed like an inconvenience. The property showed wear and our room wasn’t especially clean. I’d never return or recommend it. It didn’t meet Hilton standards at all.

The breakfast buffet staff were especially kind and made the hotel feel like a home away from home. I also liked the cozy bar, its good selection, and the friendly, attentive servers. At the front desk, everyone was warm, welcoming, and accommodating. Of all the Embassy Suites I’ve stayed at, Embassy Suites by Hilton – Fayetteville Fort Liberty stands out. I’ll be back again and again!
