Breakfast was the morning highlight for me. There were scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and a toppings bar with cheese, jalapeños, salsa, and more. I also liked the fruit and yogurt, different breads and muffins, and coffee with several choices of creamers. I'm a breakfast person, and this one was outstanding. Our group of four friends had a suite with a full kitchen, and we were impressed from the moment we arrived. We travel together often and usually book Airbnbs, but for the price this was more comfortable and convenient than other places we've stayed. The bedding was great too. The pillows were so comfortable that when I woke in the night, as I usually do away from home, I thought I was in my own bed. The full-size Dove shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion were a lifesaver since I'd forgotten mine. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the staff friendly. We'll come back to Fayetteville, and our group said we'll look for Staybridge in other cities we visit too.

The room was much bigger than the website photos suggested, and having a second bathroom was a nice surprise. The two bedrooms are separated by the living room, so there was hardly any noise from the kids’ room. The kitchen is practically a full kitchen, too. We requested a top-floor room and it was peaceful and quiet. The workout room is better than average, the pool is a decent size, and the hot tub has been decommissioned. Foghorns shares the parking lot, which made it easy to walk over for burgers and wings. One odd thing: there were no outdoor lights on when we arrived at night. Turning some of them back on would make the first impression feel safer.

The one thing that kept this from a 4.5 for me was the curtain rod. It wasn't made very well, so keeping the curtains closed and blocking the light was difficult. Otherwise, it's a clean, comfortable, modern hotel, and I had a great stay.

We had a nonrefundable reservation, but after we called about the misleading hot tub listing on Google Maps, the general manager kindly canceled it and gave us a refund. I appreciate that, so we may consider staying in the future, though we'll call to check the amenities first. We'd canceled because the listing says there's a hot tub, while the reviews suggest that isn't true. If the Google Maps information isn't kept current, it makes me wonder what else might be out of date. We travel a lot, and Staybridge had come off our hotel list.
