The rooms get refurbished regularly, though it seems they do them one at a time. Bring a sharp knife if you plan to cook, and be patient if previous guests have left pots and pans in the dishwasher. If you need anything, Liz can usually track it down for you.

We liked the little secluded patio for stargazing, plus the harbor view and the easy walk to nearby cafes and shops. It was such a cute, cozy spot for a weekend away. You can hear whoever is staying upstairs from the bottom unit, but that didn’t bother us much. Otherwise, it’s a great place, and we’ll stay here again next time we’re in Door County.

We stayed in the boat house, with its large deck looking over the marina and water, two bedrooms, two baths, a big sitting room, and a full kitchen. We didn’t cook, since there were so many great restaurants around. Liz and Trent were lovely hosts and gave us tips on places to go, things to do, and where to eat. Harbor Guest House was just right, within walking distance of Fish Creek shops and restaurants but far enough from the crowds and noise. Definitely deserves 5+ stars.

My kids keep asking when we’ll go back. The spacious two-bedroom unit felt like coming “home” after days out enjoying Door County, and I loved returning to the same place I stayed when I was young. It’s peaceful, right on the water and just off the main street. The manager works hard to keep everything very clean and comfortable. My family got to enjoy lots of Door County specialties during our stay.

After touring Door County each day, we had a large, comfortable room to unwind in, with a perfect view of the harbor. The location in Fish Creek was great, and the shops and dining in town were a quick walk away. Liz made everything easy, and good safety precautions were in place.
