SpringHill Suites by Marriott Indianapolis Fishers

Our stay has been pleasant, and the room is clean and roomy, which is a big plus. With two queens and a small living area, there was plenty of space for our family of five, including three little ones. The front desk staff have been really friendly and helpful. We only got three towels and washcloths at check-in, so we had to ask for more. A small inconvenience, no big deal. The place feels a bit neglected, though. The room door looked as if it had been broken into, the bathroom door hangs crooked and won’t lock, and the bathroom tile is cracked along the wall. There’s also a gap between the floor tile and the trim tile. None of that ruined the stay, but if you’re used to a little luxury, this probably isn’t for you. It’s nice, just a little rough around the edges.

The staff were friendly and really accommodating with what we needed. Our room was clean, spacious, and very nice. It’s close to several restaurants and everything else we needed. I’d definitely stay here again.

There’s a nice eating area in the lobby, and breakfast is free. The room was decent and had a sofa, desk for working, kitchen sink, microwave, and fridge. I’d use this hotel again.

Heather was amazing when I arrived and checked in. I asked if I could move rooms, making it clear I didn’t want to be a bother. After she walked away, the other desk attendant asked for my ID again, even though I was already checked in and my cart full of luggage was in the room I wanted to leave. It felt odd, and his manner was completely different from Heather’s. He changed my room and keys, but when I went upstairs, I could only get into the new room. All my luggage was still in the other one, so I had to go back down. He called housekeeping and said he needed to check that room before giving it to another guest. I reminded him I’d just wheeled in my bags and immediately knew I didn’t want that room. The elevator ride back up with him was so uncomfortable while he opened it for me. It didn’t feel welcoming at all. The hotel is dated and worn and badly needs updating. My room had a torn blind with a hole in it, barely any amenities, and a clothing drawer that kept sliding all the way out on its own. In the middle of the night, I woke to a strong smell of marijuana coming under the door. I can’t stand that smell, so much for a good night’s rest. I thought the price was a good deal, but I was very disappointed. Compared with Springhill Suites I’ve stayed at around the country and in Indiana, this is easily the least appealing, and the room layouts here aren’t as up to date. My favorite in Indiana is the Plainfield (airport) location. The condition of this property could attract an undesirable element of patrons and make other guests uncomfortable. This location is OK at best, and I wouldn’t come back or recommend it to business travelers. Look for the quality you expect, not just a low price.
