The Kendrick Hotel, Ascend Hotel Collection

Emily helped sort out the issue of more money being withdrawn than I’d authorized, even though she didn’t have to. I’m grateful she stepped in. The hotel was comfortable, and there were restaurants nearby.

We felt welcome from the moment my family and I arrived until we left. The staff were friendly and knew their stuff, and the layout gave us more privacy than we expected. I liked the water bottle refill station and the coffee and hot chocolate. There was a great view, too, and the location was convenient. Thank you!

The room was comfortable, and I loved the bed. The staff were wonderful and kind, and the desk woman was still training but very sweet. They also kept the place really clean, so I’d give them more than five stars for that. We chose this hotel for our anniversary mainly because of the indoor pool and hot tub. At check-in we learned the hot tub was under construction, and although they said it might be running by the end of the day, it wasn’t. The walls are thin, too. We could hear people stomping, talking in the halls, and slamming doors. That was disappointing, especially with the pool and hot tub unavailable.

My family and I stayed one night and found the room clean and well maintained. The service was good, and we appreciated the complimentary coffee and tea at the front desk and the mini bottled waters available on request. We could clearly hear footsteps overhead after 10 p.m., which made it hard to fall asleep. The noise stopped sometime after 11, but it affected our comfort that evening. Still, it was a pleasant stay with a minor noise issue.
