The room wasn’t clean, had no heat, and lost electricity after 10 p.m. until sometime after 6 a.m. There was also no running water in the tub, and bugs were crawling all over the bathroom, including what looked like centipedes and cockroaches. I won’t stay again and wouldn’t advise anyone else to.

The room was clean and well looked after, and anything I needed was taken care of. Everyone was very welcoming and courteous. I’d recommend Flint Motel as a decent place to stay.

The Flint OYO is charging me a $50 no-show fee, even though I called to ask about check-in and the hotel later denied that I’d called. I couldn’t tell if I was able to arrive, because the desk clerk kept answering my question about check-in time with the checkout time. When I clarified, he yelled “CHECK OUT AT 11” and hung up. His accent was very thick and hard for me to understand, which would have been fine if he’d been patient. Instead, he got angry. This is the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Do not stay here.

I was charged a no-show fee after calling to ask when check-in was and being told by OYO customer service that the hotel denied the call. The website didn’t say when check-in closed, either. When I phoned, the man kept shouting “check out at 11” in a rude, unfriendly way, though I wasn’t asking about checkout, then abruptly hung up. Horrible service. I absolutely don’t recommend this place.
