I stayed here after a rough experience at another motel, and this was worse. I was exhausted after a long day at work, so I didn’t ask to switch rooms, even though I should have. There were four roaches and another red and black bug on the shower curtain. The bathroom had no electricity, so they put in a bare lamp with no shade. Furniture was stained and partly broken, the bedding had several cigarette burns, and the towels still had the previous guest’s hair. The tub lining was worn out and the phone was broken. The attendants were nice, but the place smells bad, looks like it hasn’t changed since the eighties, and is in poor shape. I’m sure there are better places to stay. This one needs repairs and a full renovation, so I’d strongly advise staying elsewhere.

We only ended up here because we needed somewhere and had no other option. A couple were arguing loudly in the hallway at 4 a.m. In our room, half the lamps had no bulbs, a roach was in a drawer, and the smoke detector needed replacing. I don’t know whether they just didn’t have housekeeping.

The room and floor really seem to affect what kind of stay you get. We were moved around a lot, but the last room was decent and the neighbors were quiet. WiFi worked okay on every floor, though plenty of devices were connected. The lobby vending machines had good prices, and the ATM was always working. The ladies at the desk made the stay worthwhile, especially Clinique on the night shift, who helped with what we needed and followed up on our concerns. I heard room prices had gone up, and that made me laugh. Definitely not for picky guests.

On Miller Rd. in Flint, I think this is by far the best option. It felt safe and was mostly quiet, and the staff were friendly and tried to keep riff raff out. Ms. B, the manager, is so nice whenever I see her. The building is older, the rooms are dated, and the hallways could be a little cleaner, but I’m giving five stars for the wonderful staff.

This place is a joke. There was old food in the mini fridge, and after my shower I found a towel with yellow spots. The front desk’s “great” customer service amounted to returning my $20 deposit, but they wouldn’t refund the room. Trash establishment.
