The staff were friendly and helpful. Still, I wouldn’t recommend staying until the place gets a makeover and new sheets and towels. The hallways look like they never get vacuumed, and the rooms are outdated. I had to fetch bleach wipes from my car and clean the bathroom myself. The toilet still had the previous person’s business on it. I would’ve left, but the other hotels were booked. The pillowcases were stained, and when I stripped the bed there was a bed bug bag on it. Not sure if that’s good or bad.

The front desk staff were kind and worked with us late, and the man seemed nice, but him staying in my doorway watching while I cleaned felt off-putting. I’d paid for an extra hour of privacy, and after my significant other left, I told him that, but he wouldn’t leave while I was alone. I wasn’t sure how to handle it, and it was strange having him hover until my boyfriend came back. We stayed to clean and found old clothes left by previous residents. The bedsheets were disgusting. Nice people work there, but I won’t visit again.

We were out of there by 6:30 in the morning. The night before, arriving around 8:30 in the dark, there were no outdoor lights at all, which felt really uncomfortable given the location. The lobby and our room smelled of stale cigarettes despite it supposedly being non-smoking. I’m allergic to cigarette smoke, so it was more than just an unpleasant smell. My husband checked under the mattress and we didn’t see bugs, but within half an hour of going to bed I was being bitten and couldn’t sleep. I spent the night on top of the covers, freezing to avoid being eaten alive. Once in the car, I noticed a rash and bug bites all over me. I think I had an allergic reaction to something on the blankets or sheets. It was awful.

The women at the desk were pleasant and apologetic, and you could tell they were disappointed they didn’t have supplies either. We checked in late, but there weren’t enough pillows or blankets, no rollaway bed despite a reservation for five, and only two double beds, so one person in our group slept on the floor. There were just two towels and no extras. Breakfast was limited to two cereals, orange and apple juice, coffee, packaged cinnamon rolls or waffles, yogurt, bananas, and bread for toast. Nothing could accommodate wheat allergies. The room wasn’t terrible, but smelled of bleach. The bathroom seemed dirty, though it may just need maintenance. The toilet flushed badly and made a terrible noise, and the window air conditioner barely cooled the room and made the smell worse.
